Wondering how to edit this U.S. County Entry?

The WikiProject U.S. Counties standards might help.

Area of Deschutes County[edit]

Hi. I have just translated this article into Japanese, and noticed that there must be some errors in the information of the county's area. The template used in this article says:

Total Area - 27,912 km² (3,055 mi²)
Land Area - 37,817 km² (3,018 mi²)
Water Area - 195 km² (37 mi²), 21.20%.

This obviously makes no sense at all because (1) the values in km² and in mi² are not equivalent to each other, (2) the sum of the land and water areas largely surpasses the total area, and (3) the water area is clearly not 21.20% of the total area. I would like to refer to the original source as to the above information and see what is (or are) wrong. Can anyone indicate the source? Thanks. --Occhanikov 09:03, 25 June 2007 (UTC)

It was simply vandalism, which I have fixed. I went back and looked at an early version of the article. Most of the U.S. city and county articles were filled in by Rambot in 2004. The reference is cited in the demographics section--it is here: Wikipedia:Geographic references#2 I hope that helps. Latr, Katr 13:47, 25 June 2007 (UTC)
Here's the diff on that vandalism: [1] Latr, Katr 14:45, 25 June 2007 (UTC)
Thank you for your quick reply. I just finished entire translation with the corrected information to the Japanese article.--Occhanikov 09:55, 26 June 2007 (UTC)
