Wondering how to edit this U.S. County Entry?
The WikiProject U.S. Counties standards might help.

Pronunciation?[edit]

Does it rhyme with William, or is the second i silent?

I believe the second "i" is silent, but I can't be sure. Probably because of its small population, when I lived in Oregon the county was rarely mentioned in the news; however, when it was, I believe the pronunciation was with the second "i" not pronounced, i.e., /'gɪl əm/. 108.246.205.134 (talk) 22:54, 29 July 2013 (UTC)

POV[edit]

I added a neutrality tag to this section because I believe the tone/sources for it may not be neutral. Thoughts on what exactly to do about it? Jsayre64 (talk) 01:28, 26 January 2011 (UTC)

Never mind now. An editor worked on the section and I don't see anything wrong with it anymore. Jsayre64 (talk) 04:18, 2 October 2011 (UTC)
Good Lord, the section includes the word "Controversy" in it so of course there are non-neutral POVs involved. It is a somewhat important issue in the region when talking about Shepherd's Flat and other nearby Wind Farms, enough that it should get mentioned.Virgil61 (talk) 05:28, 16 November 2011 (UTC)
