In Hinduism, Dharitri (also Dhatri) (Sanskrit - earth) mother earth, is a name for Parvati in Lalita sahasranaama. It is also one of the names of the solar deity, one of the Adityas.[1] He is also a god of health and domestic tranquility. He can be invoked (at least in spirit) in tantra or magic by drawing tantras and chanting Vedic hymns. Often invoked during major yagnas such as Ashwamedha yagna.
